Information and Communication Technologies in Education: Opportunities and Challenges
The Swiss Network for International Studies (SNIS), the funding agency which has supported to project Mobile A2K, is organizing a debate with international organizations on the topic of “Education for tomorrow” focused on “Information and Communication Technologies in Education: Opportunities and Challenges”. The debate addresses the following current issues:
What are the educational challenges posed by the digital natives? To what extent will their emergence challenge prevailing views about inter-personal communication, knowledge management and learning? What kind of educational responses have been successful so far?
What are the new opportunities for education in emergency situations and how is high-quality learning made accessible to refugees and forcibly displaced persons?
Prof. Francesc Pedró, Chief of Education Policy at UNESCO and an expert from the learn lab of UNHCR will try to answer to these complex questions. The event will be moderate by Dr. Luca Botturi, head of REC Unit at the Department of Teaching and Learning, SUPSI.
